Terms of Service
Effective 5 July 2026. Applies to the Galucy Identity Platform ("GID", the "Service"), operated by Galucy Niels Enterprises ("we", "us", "our") at https://gid-swart.vercel.app.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account, or otherwise using GID (including scanning or looking up a code on a public verify page), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What the Service does
GID lets a host ("you", when you hold an account) create events, invite and manage guests, issue QR check-in codes, track RSVPs, and check guests in at the door. It also issues and verifies codes and QR for other things you attach them to (cards, products, certificates, documents), with a public page that returns a real-time status: valid, revoked, suspended, expired, or not found.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your password confidential. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at hellogalucyniels@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Your responsibilities as a host
When you add a guest's name, email, or phone number to an event you create, you are the one collecting and choosing to process that person's personal data, and you are responsible for having a lawful basis to do so under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (for example, that the guest expects to be invited to your event). GID provides the tools; you decide whose data goes into them. Do not upload personal data you do not have a legitimate reason and right to hold.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use GID to: issue codes or events for anything illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive; impersonate a person or organization; attempt to circumvent rate limits, probe, or abuse the verification or check-in endpoints; or upload content you do not have the right to use. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates this section.
6. Pricing
GID is currently free during early access, as shown on the pricing section of our homepage. We may introduce paid tiers in the future; if and when we do, we will announce it in advance and it will not retroactively change what you already agreed to for existing usage at the time.
7. Availability and changes
GID is an actively developed product. We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and features may change, be added, or be removed as the product evolves. We will not delete your data as part of a routine product change without giving you a reasonable way to export or retrieve it first, where practical.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from within the app, which permanently deletes your events and guest data. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates section 5 (Acceptable use), or that we reasonably believe poses a security risk to the Service or its users.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
GID is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, express or implied, and are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on a verification result or a guest not being checked in correctly due to factors outside our control (network issues, user error, third-party outages).
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 where it applies to personal data processed through GID.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. We will update the effective date above when we do, and material changes will be communicated where practical.
